Bears Beat the Packers, Redeem Season of Woes.
The Bears dominated almost every facet of the game Sunday in the destruction of the Packers. The weather was cold, but the Chicago Bears defense was hot all day. It came to a crescendo when Urlacher intercepted Brett Farve (17-32, 153 yards, 1 INT) and ran it back 85 yards for a touchdown. It was Urlacher's first TD since 2003 and his first pick 6 in his career. The only good play the Packers had all day was Ryan Grants 66 yard touchdown run in the second quarter on which the Packers took the lead 7-6. It was the only time the Pack had a leg up on the Bears all day. While the Bears season has been disappointing at best, it is always redeeming for Bears fans to see them sweep the season series against the Packers. It is also the first time the Bears have ever swept the Packers in a season series when the Bears have also had a losing record. It is also the 5th win in the last 6 games against the Packers. Orton also improved after his crappy performance of last week against the Vikings. He didn't have to do too much though, with the Bears running game working better than it has most of the year, and the defense scoring 2 touchdowns. He was 8-14 with 101 yards and 1 TD. Start up the preverbal media frenzy about what the Bears should do next year at the QB position. For now though, don't listen to the media and just enjoy the Bears victory.
